ANNUAL WOOD STOVE SWEEP / CLEANING

Fireplace Flue Sweeps - Also known as chimney cleanings or fireplace cleanings. Fireplace chimney sweeps are done to remove flammable Creosote Deposits from the inside of your chimney and to assure the flues are obstruction free. The NFPA (National Fire Protection Association) code 211 says, "Chimneys, fireplaces, and vents shall be inspected at least once a year for soundness, freedom from deposits, and correct clearances. Cleaning, maintenance, and repairs shall be done if necessary." Annual inspection with a fireplace chimney sweep as required. This is the National safety standard!

Integrity purposes - A CSIA (Chimney Safety Institute of America) Certified Chimney Sweep can visually look up the chimney & down the chimney, but cannot climb inside to test the integrity of your fireplace chimney firewalls within.  If when pushing the chimney rods and brushes through your fireplace chimney system (chimney cleaning), pieces of spalling fire clay tile, fire clay tile joints, or brick come down, then you know there is an integrity & worthiness issue at the point in which debris begins to fall. This is a must know for continuous safe fireplace chimney use!
